Nuodle @ Sing Post Centre

Nuodle is on the 1st floor at Sing Post Centre in Paya Lebar. Although I heard that that’s very popular and sometime there is a long que , it wasn’t very crowded on weekdays afternoon. It’s good for me, honestly I don’t like long que.
At first I kept the table and ordered at right side counter and received it left side counter. I had small beef la mian $8.5 and add $3.5 drink and cucumber pickles. It wasn’t quite different from Japanese ramen, but really delicious. They served freshly noodle, and soup was nice. If you like spicy, you can add their original spicy paste, it’s also good. I can’t wait to eat it again. Thanks.

Dim Sum Haus@ Bendemeer

Did you get off the MRT at Bendemeer. It’s beside on the Jalan Besar and you can get some tasty. Dim Sum Haus is one of them, there’s across on the street. Since this stall is new , I can take my children. My kids don’t like old and open air stall, even it’s delicious.
Anyway this dim sum restaurant is clean and bright. It’s comfortable for me. I had some ordinarily dim sum dishes. Everything was good and reasonable price, expected impolite shoppers. If you don’t care of that, I definitely recommend this place. Thanks.

Pocoloco @Ang Mo Kio

Hi, it’s rainy every day, what are you doing.
I like Italian, but some of Italian restaurants are fancy in city area. I’m looking forward to casual Italian, expect Saizeriya. As you know, it’s Japanese-Italian.

My Japanese Friend recommended me Pocoloco in Ang Mo Kio. She noticed me that I need  reservations on weekend, so I went there weekdays lunchtime with reservation.
It’s a small restaurant in HDB area and when we arrived there , the tables were full.  I felt relieved to make reservation.
Their price were good, it’s really casual. I had Burrata $16, Caeser salad $7 and some pasta under $15. The Burrata was delicious and beautiful! Salad and pasta also good. There was only one problem , they didn’t have plain water, so I must order something to drink. Anyway I like Pocoloco, And I heard they have pizzeria, I’ll try! Thanks.

Rochor Beancurd house @Balestier Rd

All right! It’s final post about my exploring Balestier Rd.
Rochor Beancurd House is old school stall. It’s not instagramic, but it has a good atmosphere. I had cold beancurd with rice ball $ 3.1. It’s simple and comfort food, I like this. Thanks.

Founder Bak Kut Teh@ Balestier Rd

OMG, I’m tired of writing about Balestier Rd, there are so many interesting stalls. I couldn’t visit all of them 1day.
Founder Bak Kut Teh is one of the famous Bak Kut Teh in Singapore. There are some branches, and  here is a Original one.There are a lot of photos on the wall, perhaps the founder and famous people.
The Bak Kut Teh was a little spicy, it was as good as Song fa and other stall. In my opinion, 333 is the best one, 2nd is Song fa as of now. Thanks.

333 Bak Kut Teh

I like BAK Kut Teh, but almost them are hot for me. I tried Song fa and Ya Hua one, it certainly delicious, and I’m looking forward to non spicy one.
333Bak Kut Teh was served nice one. It was yummy and not so spicy. The stall is beside on Balestier Rd, and amazingly, when you get off the bus, you can get there immediately. Out side tables were closed to bus stop. I heard it opened 24h, very convenient! Thanks.

Loong Fatt @ Balestier Rd

When I explored Balestier Rd, it made me feel yearning for my old days.
I visited Loong Fatt which was famous for bean paste pastry. I had sweet and salty $0.8 each, they were fresh and hot. I’ve tried same sweets in Japan as local sweet souvenirs. For example, Kumamoto, Kyoto, Oita prefecture. I think it’s from China, but nowadays popular in Asia. Thanks.

Co Hai Banh Mi@ Beach Road

I had never tried Banh Mi before I came to Singapore. It’s a Vietnamese sandwitch which is made of  baguette and some herb,  meat , vegetable. The baguette is different from European one, it’s made from wheat flour and rice flour. That texture was more crispy. So I’m hooked on it and I heard about good Banh Mi stall was beside Beach Road.

I tried co hai baguette $10, inside was ham, roasted pork, pate, and vegetable. Though the price was high, taste was really good. I love this baguette, it had  crispy texture.
I also tried pho, it’s a rice noodle with beef soup $8.9.  This was good. But I don’t have many experience about pho, so I can’t compare other pho.

Chen’s Mapo Tofu@ Downtown Gallery

Have you ever tried Mapo tofu at Shisen Hanten in Mandarin Orchard? No, I haven’t, but it quite famous here and Japan. And it got Michelin star, I’ve wanted to eat. I heard a good news, they opened a pocket friendly new stall. 

There’s on the 2nd floor in Downtown Gallery. I paid at front desk and received number, the waitress took us the table, and I got food at counter.

I had set meal $10.8, half Mapo don and dried Dan Dan Mien . They were hot and spicy! I couldn’t eat it all. But it was probably good taste . And I also had Katayaki. It’s a deep fried noodle with seafood. It was delicious! If you don’t like spicy food, you should try this.

This stall was not fancy, but I could have great food for casual.

Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee@Kallang

Nowadays I’m looking for good prawn mee, I heard that there’s a nice prawn mee stall near Kallang MRT station, so I went.

It’s across the MRT station, I got there easily. I had Sultan Prawn Mee $10 dry and soup. There were 4 prawn on the noodle and the prawn was treated to easy to eat. I felt strong prawn flavour and I liked this type of prawn mee. This is one of the prawn noodle I like best.

Ser seng herbal soup restaurant @ Potong Pasir

I happened to go there the other day. It’s a famous turtle soup restaurant! I went to prawn noodle stall next to turtle soup restaurant, but it was closed irregularly. I had no idea where the good food around here. At that time, I saw a restaurant next to it which were almost full. So I went.

At first, I didn’t know it’s a turtle soup restaurant. But I thought the price was high. So I read the menu carefully.....Oh, it was turtle!! But there were some Pork and other kind of soup, I ordered pork Organ soup $9, and steamed rice. The soup was good, like Bso Kut Teh. All other people had turtle soup, it looked delicious. Next time I will have turtle soup.

Loo’s hainanese curry rice@ Tiongbahru

I sometimes saw a long que in front of this stall. Since I wanted to try Hainanese curry , I went to there in this time. I asked to the shopper what’s recommend. They offered me curry with pork cutlet and vegetable. And he also offered flog, but I didn’t.

The curry was watery, but quite different from Indian curry. The taste was similar to Japanese curry. Vegetable and cutlet were so-so. Actually I like Japanese curry better than this.

Ah Chiang’s Porridge @ Tiongbahru

How’s your day?
It’s gotten hot, hasn’t it. I missed Japanese Autumn, it’s cool and genial. In Japan, since Autumn is harvesting season, almost food is delicious.

Anyway I had Porridge at Ah Ching’s in Tiongbahru. My friend took me there, there was on the far side of  the street. I arrived there before noon, so I could eat soon.

I chosen fish porridge and  minced meet Porridge. Although I forgot their prices , they’re quite cheap.   I preferred fish one, it’s yummy. I also had bean curd, it was soft and nice.

Muffles@Berseh Food Centre

There are many kind of Muffins and cupcake in here. I also had chocolat N spices and AJ delights ’s one.which were in Hawkers. Their muffins were nice, the price was cheap and taste was simple. I heard good muffins stall in Berseh Food Centre, so I went.

One woman worked at the stall, and some muffins and sliced cakes were sold. They were cheap like other muffins stall. but smaller than them. I bought one each of them. It was moist, buttery and  tasty. I definitely recommend this muffin.

Tea Lounge @ Regent Hotel

Hello, how’s your day. I’ve been busy since last week. Because my friend will have return to Japan , so I gave her a farewell party.

In October, there is 1 for 1 promotion of introductory new afternoon tea at Regent Hotel. I got this offer. The usual place is $48++ /person. Including 2kind of beverages and 3tier food and one dessert plate.

I had an earl gray and  caffe latte and I chose  “Golden Apple “ for dessert. Several finger food were on 3tiers, everything was delicious. Service was also nice, environment was good, there’s only one problem ..it was cold. You should wear long sleeve. At last, I had a Golden Apple which made from candy . It looked so beautiful, and some fruit and cream were stuffed it. I really  impressed it.
Totally it was nice afternoon tea set, but I don’t want to eat it for $48++. The figure was little too high for me.

Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle @ North Bridge

Hi, Did you know about Michelin  Hawkers in Singapore. There are two Hawkers, I already went the other one, so I tried Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle in this time.

The stall was near Golden mile food centre and 1st floor of HDB. It opened at 9:30, I arrived there 9:15 and picked up  a numbered ticket which was No.16. Seriously it wasn't open yet, over 16 groups were waiting!  After opened, we lined up in order, but sometimes people who doesn't have numbered tickets existed. Don't worry, they were pulled off. I waited for 1hour...

I ordered dry one. It served with seaweed soup,  The noodle was chewy and  fleshly. Topping were fishball,  fried meet. It tasted salty and sour, ummm, seems like my expectation was too high.
If you want to eat pork noodle, I recommend Ah Hoe Mee Pok.

Heijoen@Japan Food Town

Hi, Happy Monday.
I had a nice lunch set at Heijoen. There's on the 4th floor Wisma Atria. Though I've been there at lunch time, I didn't had great lunch set like this time. OK, I had $16.9++ Lunch set and It limited 15. Included Salad, Kimchi, Bibimbap, Soup, 4kind of meat, and dessert, free flow corn tea. I think it's a good deal. Their service was also nice and polite. If you want to have this great lunch, you should go there before 12:00pm.

Sanpoutei@Isetan scots

I've wanted to go to Sanpoutei. I usually saw that there was que when I went to Isetan.
I arrived there at 12:30, and I wait 15min. I had Mazesoba. It was little salty, but not so bad. Their service was really nice, I was amazed that their water wasn't tap water, perhaps it's bottled water.

MTR @ Farrer Park

Do you know MTR, it's not MRT. Mavali Tiffin Room , for short MTR.
I want to eat Dosa and I went there for lunch. I had plain Dosai $5 and Mango Lassi $5. I ordered and paid money first at counter, then received a ordered card and sit a table. 
The tables were almost full, various nationalities customers were there. The freshly baked Dosa was served with 2 of curry sauce. It was yummy! Crispy and inside was soft. Amazing! I found my best Dosa. Thank you!

Jit It Thai San Popiah @ Clementi

Hello.
I've had 4th Popiah today. It was near Clementi MRT Station. I've visited around here many times, but I didn't find  this Popiah stall. At last I could try Jit It Thai San Popiah.
I arrived there at 10:00, the stall hadn't opened yet. An elder aunty was cutting boiled eggs in front of the stall. I was surprised , she cut so lot!  I always respect elderly people in Singapore, because they keep working.
Anyway, I waited 30min and got one $ 2.0?. It was little spicy and I felt strong garlic flavour. It's nice, but I like Ann Sin Popiah better than this. Thanks.
